EXL provides access to the 401(k) Retirement Plan through Fidelity to help you save for your financial future. You’re eligible on the first of the month following 30 days of employment and will receive a notification by email and mail that your account is set up in Fidelity’s system.

EXL matches 50% of your employee contributions, up to a maximum of 3% of pay. (i.e. if you contribute 6%, match is 3%). Your match is generally made in March following the close of the plan year. You must be actively employed on December 31.

2026 Contribution Limits
  • The maximum amount you can contribute is $24,500. This applies to pre-tax and Roth contributions.
  • If you are between age 50 and 59, you can contribute an additional $8,000 in catch-up contributions.
  • If you’re between age 60 and 63, you can contribute an additional $11,250.

Note: Catch-up contributions can be made on a pre-tax or Roth basis. However, if your compensation in 2025 was greater than $150,000, your catch-up contribution must be made on a Roth basis.

Company Matching Contribution

EXL matches your contribution up to the lesser of: (1) 6% of half your gross income, OR (2) 50% of your contribution. For example, if your gross income is $100,000 and your contributions were $5,000, your match would be the lesser of:

  • Gross income divided by 2 x 6%: $100,000 ÷ 2 = $50,000 x 6% = $3,000 OR
  • 50% of your contribution: $5,000 x 50% = $2,500

Your match is generally made in March following the close of the plan year.
